Growing up, good food and company were essential to my happiness. We all bonded over food as a family. Whether it was fighting with my cousins to get a bite of Umma (Dad’s mum) Jaggery Hoppers when I was a kid, drinking warm milk and bananas on New Year’s Eve with Grandma and Grandpa, or washing dishes after numerous meals at Mum and Dad’s home. We were brought together by food.
The memories of these moments have been etched into my mind, and over time, they have helped shape my love for baking. As I baked, it became normal for me to have an audience watching and sometimes participating in the process. The creative process was appreciated more when people saw the pieces come together. But there was no opportunity for people who wanted to decorate for fun.
Last month, I did something different. I gathered seven women from my world, and we bonded over cake to start a new venture. It was like walking into a big hug! They helped me turn an idea into reality and run my first workshop, gathering feedback along the way. “In Good Company” was created in a flash.
I am thrilled to share with you this project that has been brewing for the last month. Oh, That Be Good’s core concept is to create connections through the cake. My cake decorating classes are designed to do exactly that. Enjoy yourself, let your creativity flow, and relax. This offering is perfect for wedding showers, kitchen teas, birthdays, and other special occasions.
I am overwhelmed with the generosity and kindness shown by my suppliers. They have joined this venture, taken a risk, and are committed to providing you with the best florals, décor, and embellishments. Thank you to my tribe for sending me love and positive vibes. I am so excited to meet all of you and share with you my passion for cake.
