Easy Homemade Vanilla Sponge Cake Recipe For Beginners With Baking Tips

Everyone wants to make cakes, but not everyone can do it perfectly. Most of the time, when we bake a cake for the first time, it is too difficult. This recipe is for beginners who want to make a soft, cottony cake at home. This recipe makes a delicious, moist, and fluffy cake. The recipe was shared on Alpa Modi’s YouTube channel ‘Something’s Cooking with Alpa’ by food vlogger Alpa Modi.

This is the recipe for Vanilla sponge cake.

Step 1: Take a small dish of salted butter, and beat it until its color changes from yellow to whitish.

Step 2: Add the powdered sugar, and mix well.

Step 3: Add three eggs one at a time and beat each.

Step 4: Continue beating until you have a creamy mixture. Add vanilla essence and beat again for 30 seconds.

Step 5: Take all-purpose and baking powder, sift through a sieve, and place in a bowl.

Step 6: Add flour slowly to the egg and butter mixture, folding it regularly. Add milk at room temperature.

Step 7: Grease the baking pan/tray. Line the pan with butter paper, then grease it from the top. Dust some flour along the sides of the pan. Turn the pan upside down to remove excess flour.

Step 8: Spread the cake batter evenly. Run a toothpick through the batter, leaving some air.

Step 9: Bake the cake for 40-45 mins in a preheated oven.
