PUMPKIN PATCH CUPCAKES

Ingredients

CAKE MIX PUMPKIN CUPCAKES:

    • One container of yellow cake mix
    • 1 Tbsp. Pumpkin pie spice or two teaspoons cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon. The spice nutmeg works
    • 1-15 oz. can of pumpkin puree
    • Three eggs
    • 1/2 C. oil
    • 1/3 C. milk
    • 2 tsp. vanilla extract

ORANGE CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:

  • Eight oz. cream cheese
  • 1 1/2 C. Butter softened
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 3-4 C. powdered sugar
  • Food coloring with orange
  • TOOTSIE ROLLS
  • GREEN APPLE LAFFY TAFFYS

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line the pan with cupcake liners.
  2. Mix cake mix in an enormous bowl to eliminate any lumps. Then, add the rest of the cake ingredients. Stir until smooth.
  3. Fill cupcake liners with 3/4 of the batter and bake for about 15 minutes or until a knife is clear.
  4. Let cool.
  5. Orange Cream Cheese Frosting: Mix butter and cream cheese until smooth. Mix in vanilla extract, and add three C. powdered sugar. Continue adding powdered sugar until it reaches your desired consistency. Add milk if it is too thick. Add as much food coloring as you need.
  6. Follow the directions on the photos. Frost cupcakes once they have been cooled up to the liner, creating a rounded top. Then gently shape your Tootsie Roll into the stem of a plant and then push it onto the frosting’s top. Form Your Laffy Taffy into a leaf and vine, then make it into the frosting!
